Will Hamilton, Ph.D.

Will Hamilton, PhD., is a licensed psychologist, who specializes in treating people with mood and anxiety disorders, those recovering from brain injury, and those adjusting to chronic illness. He provides Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, neuropsychological assessments, and stress management services, using techniques such as biofeedback, neurofeedback, and mindfulness instruction.

He received his training from the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology in Palo Alto, California, and has since worked in several clinics helping individuals and families adjust to different forms of brain injury. Will spent his internship at the Salt Lake City VA Medical Center treating veterans with medical and psychological concerns, including recovery from complex trauma. He subsequently completed his Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Chronic Pain Management at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in San Francisco, where he focused on helping patients to reduce the impact of pain on their daily lives.

Will brings his extensive background in mindfulness traditions to his sessions. A long-time former resident of Asheville, he has recently returned to the area and is licensed as a psychologist in North Carolina.
