Patrick Jones, MA, LPA, LCAS-P received his master's degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in substance abuse treatment from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He is a Licensed Psychological Associate and a Provisionally Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist in North Carolina.
He has worked with both youths and adults in individual and group therapy sessions to address behavioral and substance abuse issues. Most recent work experience includes working with opiate addicted individuals using methadone maintenance therapy to facilitate healthy recovery.
Specific areas of interest include the treatment of dually diagnosed individuals who are coping with substance abuse and use disorders as well as a variety of personality and mood disorders. He uses his training in Cognitive-Behavioral therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and psycho-educational techniques to help individuals establish a healthy and fulfilling life. He is a member of the NC Psychological Association (NCPA) and the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT).
He is available to see clients weekday evenings and Saturdays.
